  • Is it hard to make friends?

    One of the biggest fears people have about coming to college is that they won’t know anyone. Yes, this might be the case, but there are lots of people that feel this way, which means making friends is easy because everyone is in the same boat. If you don’t believe us, listen to what our students have to say.

  • Is it best to stick to what I know?

    We appreciate that stepping out of your comfort zone can be really difficult for some people, and the decision to leave everything you know behind, can be a really hard one to make.   • Will I regret going to college?

    Not only will you be working towards the specialist qualifications you need to excel in your future career, but you will develop a whole range of new skills at college. Which makes coming to West Notts a great decision for our students.

  • Is it too nerve-racking coming to college?

    Not knowing what to expect can make us anxious and on edge, but being nervous about starting college is normal!     We offer both A Levels and BTECs. But which is right for you? Let’s look at both options…

  • Do I need to pay for the college bus before my course starts?

    Yes – paying for college buses before you start college is beneficial to you, however, we do have a four week grace period to allow for those who are undecided to make a decision.

  • When do I enrol?

    Each course has a different enrolment date. You will receive a letter detailing when your enrolment date is.

  • When does college start?

    The start date for 2023 academic year is week commencing 4 September 2023 for full-time students. Each course will have a different start date which will be given during enrolment.

  • What days will I be in college?

    You will find this out at enrolment when you receive your timetable. Generally students are in college anywhere from 3-5 days per week.

  • Do I need to bring anything with me?

    Some courses require you to have specialist equipment, resources or safety equipment. Take a look at our kit lists to see what equipment you may need.
