College theatre calls out for idiots!

West Nottinghamshire College’s Create Theatre is calling out to all idiots for a summertime audition opportunity.
Wanna be an American Idiot
Create Theatre is working in conjunction with Debut Theatre, to seek talented performers aged from 15 to 25 years to appear in an exciting production of Green Day’s American Idiot.
Whilst this is an amateur show, the production staff are all industry professionals, and the ethos will be very much a professional standard in a professional timescale.

American Idiot will be rehearsed and performed at the college’s theatre with rehearsals taking place full-time from 24 July for two weeks, 10am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Director for the show, James Nelson, said: “I'm delighted to be back working with Create and Debut this coming summer.
“My favourite part of being in a professional company and rehearsal process is the chance to completely engulf yourself in a piece of theatre from nine to five every day. Your office for this period is a stage and working alongside like-minded individuals is always the highlight of any production I have been part of.
“To watch an entire show take shape in three weeks is an incredible feeling and one that everyone involved in American Idiot will share.”
