Bursaries
There are two different bursaries available to the 16-18 age group. Bursary payments do not have to be repaid. If you or your parent/carer receive certain benefits for example income support, you may also be entitled to free college meals.

Vulnerable Student Bursary
The fund is aimed at the groups outlined below:
- in care
- care leaver
- the student is receiving Universal Credit because they are financially supporting themselves or financially supporting themselves and someone who is dependent on them and living with them such as a child or partner
- the student is receiving Disability Living Allowance or Personal Independence Payments in their own right as well as Employment and Support Allowance or Universal Credit in their own right.
Please note that eligibility is not a guarantee of the full £1,200 award from the vulnerable bursary fund.
There is the possibility of a limited award or even no award at all. The amount of any individual award will be based on individual needs, which will include costs such as travel,
kit and trips. The onus will be on the applicant to demonstrate individual course costs on the application,
so please ensure you complete all sections.
