Hazelgrove Care Home - Visual Art & Design

Job description

There are several fantastic opportunities available here over the summer to be part of developing a creative new look for the residents at Hazelgrove Care Home based in Hucknall.

Milford Care is a family run group of care homes in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Established in 1985, the group’s growth and reputation reflects its popularity with residents and families.

You will be required to use your artistic flare and creativity to produce art work for each resident; this will mean meeting the residents and talking about memories from their childhood/upbringing - each resident will have wall space outside their room for the art work to be painted. The idea is to make the corridors look as 'like home' as possible, to resemble a street.

Please bare in mind that this is a care home for residents with mental health conditions, this may make some students feel uncomfortable however the support staff and nurses are there to supervise at all times.

For more info please go to www.milfordcare.co.uk

The employer is happy to cover student costs/travel expenses/daily wage (to be agreed between employer and student)
