Financial support for adult learners

Bursaries

There are two different bursaries available to the 19+ age group. Bursary payments do not have to be repaid.

19+ Student Support Fund

If you have an annual gross household income below £25,000 or up to £30,000 if there are three or more dependent children living in the household (aged 0-4 or up to 19 and in full-time education), you could be entitled to £50 a month in attendance-related bursary payments. In addition to this, you may be able to receive help with OFSTED registered childcare costs.

If any of the above applies to you please complete an SF2 application form (19+ Student Support Fund (including 20+ Childcare Support)) which can be requested below. We cannot process your application until the start of your course and it may take up to six weeks to hear from us.

Advanced Learner Loan Bursary

Free college meals

Students aged 19 to 24 on 31 August 2016 who are subject to an Education of Health Care Plan (EHC Plan) may also be entitled to free college meals.
