Its employer engagement division, Vision Business, took silver in the ‘college large apprenticeship provision’ category of this year’s Apprenticeships4England Apprenticeship Awards.

Staged by national organisation Apprenticeships4England, the fourth annual awards honoured training providers and employers that have shown outstanding achievement, best practice and excellence in apprenticeship-delivery.

Lesley Roberts, vice-principal for employer engagement and business development, said: “This is fantastic recognition of the standard and breadth of our apprenticeship scheme, which benefits thousands of individuals and employers across the country.

“I’m immensely proud to see the hard work of our apprenticeship team and network of partner training providers celebrated on the national stage.”

The college is one of the largest apprenticeship-providers in the country, training 13,000 apprentices across a range of industries including construction, engineering, retail, hospitality, catering, and health and social care.

Held at the Grange Tower Hotel, Tower Bridge, London, earlier this month (Tuesday 7 March), the awards formed part of Apprenticeships4England’s conference and gala dinner hosted by Lord Patel of Bradford OBE and former professional footballer Paul Elliot CBE; both of whom are trustees of youth charity and awards sponsor the Milestone Foundation.
